Busy week for Mapogo in Krugersdorp – seven incidents reported

Security beam sensors seem to be on thugs' shopping list in Krugersdorp.

Mapogo A Mathamaga Security has reported at least seven incidents that the company’s personnel attended this past week in Krugersdorp.

The full report for the period June 6 to June 11 is as follow:

• Monday, June 6 at 00:19 – Theft on Carter Street, Delporton: A perpetrator climbed over the back wall to gain entry onto the premises and removed the outside alarm beam sensor from the wall. When the alarm activated they fled the scene.

• Monday, June 6 at 16:44 – Theft on Eland Street, Rant-en-Dal: The perpetrators climbed over the front wall to gain entry onto the premises. They stole the outside beam sensor from the wall and fled the scene.

• Thursday, June 9 at 2:26 – Attempted theft on Quellerie Street, Quellerie Park: The perpetrators attempted to steal an alarm beam sensor from the premises. When the owner woke up and gave the alarm the perpetrators fled the scene.

• Thursday, June 9 at 9.57. Theft on Viljoen Street, Krugersdorp North: The perpetrators climbed over the wall and opened a window at the back of the premises from where they stole tools and a leaf blower before fleeing the scene.

• Friday, June 10 at 1:09 – Attempted housebreaking on Rustenburg Road, Tarlton: Perpetrator gained entry by crawling under the electric fence. They broke a window on the premises and forced open the burglar bars. When the alarm activated they fled the scene.

• Saturday, June 11 at 4:31 – Housebreaking and theft on Rissik Street, Krugersdorp Central: Perpetrator forced open the safety gate, broke a window, and stole a selection of items before fleeing the scene.

• Saturday, June 11 at 21:27 – Housebreaking and theft on Coetzee Street, Eldorado, Tarlton: The perpetrators broke the lock on the gate and proceeded to the building where they forced open the door and safety gate, and stole items. They then fled the scene.
