Mapogo reports two theft-related incidents in five days

Mapogo Security had only two serious incidents reported to them between January 31 and February 4. Both of these involved theft.

At 06:10 on January 31 there was an attempted theft incident on Ontdekkers Road.

The suspect was seen by the Mapogo control room on CCTV cameras attempting to steal metal through the perimeter fence. The Mapogo armed reaction units were dispatched and upon arrival the suspect was arrested and handed over to the Roodepoort Police.”

Then on February 4 at 08:02 there was a theft incident in Buiten Street in Krugersdorp North. The suspects entered the premises by lifting the entrance gate of the rail. They stole four wheels from a Toyota Fortuner.
