The man then managed to tell someone close to him what had happened and who assaulted him. His landlord took him to hospital in a critical condition but he died on arrival at hospital. He had injuries to his head and body.

His brother then opened a case of kidnapping and murder at the Kagiso police station and their investigations revealed that he had been kidnapped by people who accused him of breaking in and stealing from a panel beating business.

“People who think that they are a law unto themselves, will face the full might of the law and acknowledge that there is law that must be obeyed. No one is entitled to take someone’s life and act as if nothing happened, or hide from the long arm of the law,” warned Colonel Dorettte Greyling, the acting station commander of the Kagiso police.
