WATCH: Vehicle theft at children’s home in Noordheuwel caught on camera
A well-known non-profit organisation in Noordheuwel reports a third case of vehicle theft at their premises. The incident was caught on camera.
A worker at Cross Connect Community Outreach (CCCO), a well-known non-profit organisation in Noordheuwel, was the latest victim of crime after a vehicle theft incident earlier this week.
At about 17:00 on August 5, the worker’s vehicle was stolen at the CCCO premises and captured on their CCTV camera system.
Kyle Tolman, the founder of CCCO, confirmed that this was the third incident of vehicle theft at their premises.
In the video footage supplied to the Krugersdorp News, a man can be seen fiddling and trying to unlock the door of the vehicle in question. Minutes later he successfully unlocks the door and leaves without being caught.
Tolman confirmed that a case has been opened with the police and now they are appealing to the community to assist.
“We are urgently requesting help to get an intercom system so we can close the gate at all times while still being able to receive visitors, donors and deliveries. In addition, we need someone to help with cameras in our outside parking lot and possibly assist in erecting a boom. If you can open your heart and help with our request or even share this with someone who could help, I would be eternally grateful,” Tolman said.
