Police confirm business robbery behind Robert Broom Drive crime scene
Police have confirmed the crime scene on Robert Broom Drive on Sunday was related to a business robbery.
A crime scene at the intersection of Robert Broom Drive and Van Oord Street on December 8 has been confirmed by police to be connected to a business robbery.
According to Karen du Plessis, spokesperson for the Krugersdorp Flying Squad, the incident occurred at about 09:10 when a well-known toy and goods store on Cecil Knight Street in Krugersdorp North was targeted.

“Eight armed suspects co-ordinated the robbery, stealing cash from the tills, as well as cellphones belonging to the store and its employees,” Du Plessis reported.
The suspects made off with 167 cellphones valued at R360 000 and about R140 000 in cash. Du Plessis added that investigations are ongoing, and leads are being actively pursued.
One suspect was apprehended at the scene on Robert Broom Drive following a failed attempt to flee.
