Residents in parts of Krugersdorp West wake up in darkness

Parts of Krugersdorp West are without power following cable theft at the Boltonia substation.

Councillor Amy Steyn confirmed cables were stolen at the substation sometime from about 02:00 this morning (February 21).

“The site has since been secured by private security where it has been reported that a panga was also found in a nearby field. Municipal workers are en route, however, there is no estimated time for repair,” she concluded.
