Swift law enforcement collab halts suspects’ getaway

SAPS West Rand Rural Safety and BCI Security swiftly intercepted a vehicle in Krugersdorp, stopping four housebreaking suspects in their tracks.

At about 12:14 on August 29, a vehicle suspected of being linked to a housebreaking earlier that day was spotted travelling from the North West to the West Rand, leading police and a security company to intercept it.

According to BCI operational manager Jacques Spangenberg, members of BCI, along with the SAPS West Rand Rural Safety, acted swiftly.

He said the suspect’s vehicle was spotted on Sterkfontein Road, heading in the direction of Krugersdorp.

“Four suspects were apprehended as a result, and all stolen items were recovered from the vehicle. The complainant also identified the property inside the vehicle as belonging to him,” Spangenberg said.
