West Rand Flying Squad intercepts men with stolen goods

Three men were arrested after West Rand police discovered a large television during routine stop-and-search operations in the Randfontein CBD.

The West Rand Flying Squad (WRFS) made a successful arrest during routine stop-and-search operations in the Randfontein CBD on January 16.

According to WRFS spokesperson Karen du Plessis, officers noticed a suspicious vehicle at around 10:00. A blue Kia Rio was stopped and searched after police observed three men travelling with a 50-inch television inside the vehicle.

The men were arrested after they failed to provide proof of ownership for the television. An investigation is currently underway.
