Quick response by private security and police led to the arrest of 4 suspects and the recovery of a hijacked VW Polo in the early hours of Tuesday.

The hijacking of a VW Polo in Sivewright Street during the early hours of February 3 ended with the arrest of four armed suspects and the recovery of the vehicle following a co-ordinated response by private security and law enforcement.

According to EPR Security’s general manager, Johan Krogh, they received information about the hijacking shortly after it occurred.

“The vehicle’s tracking company later confirmed that the VW Polo was located near the premises of a customer in Factoria. Security officers tracked the suspects and the hijacked vehicle to Rory Street. Police and other law enforcement agencies were already on the scene,” Krogh said.

He added that with the assistance of EPR Security, the suspects were arrested and the hijacked VW Polo was recovered.
