Dealership burglary in Silverfields sees 2 caught

A swift response by security teams led to the recovery of stolen items and the arrest of two alleged burglars attempting to flee the scene.

Two people were arrested in Silverfields after allegedly breaking into a car dealership on May 4.

According to Help24 Secure CEO Sheldon Grobler, the two were apprehended at the dealership located on Voortrekker Road.

He said intelligence was gathered by the company’s first responders, who were then deployed to the identified location. Upon arrival, the two were found in possession of stolen property and were immediately arrested.

“The area manager, together with the tactical response unit, was immediately dispatched, and upon arrival, they were met with two people attempting to flee. Both were caught and taken into custody along with the various stolen items. They were handed over to Krugersdorp police,” he said.
