Eskom power box targeted in Tarlton

It was one of four serious incidents reported in Mogale CIty according to the weekly crime report released by Operations Manager of Mapogo A Mathamaga Security, Ben Willemse.

Criminals did nothing to improve the load-shedding situation; instead they targeted an Eskom power box and stole a cable on Van Mees Street, Tarlton over the weekend.

It was one of four serious incidents reported in Mogale CIty according to the weekly crime report released by Operations Manager of Mapogo A Mathamaga Security, Ben Willemse.

The full report:

• Thursday, September 22 at 08:23 – Housebreaking and theft on Rissik Street, Krugersdorp Central: Perpetrators made a hole in the roof to gain entry into the shop, stole cigarettes and cash, and fled the scene.

• Friday, September 23 at 14:56 – Attempted break-in on Van Breda Street, Krugersdorp Central: Perpetrators broke the lock of the small gate and ripped the alarm keypad from the wall. When the alarm activated they fled the scene.

• Saturday, September 24 at 01:03 – Theft on Van Mees Street, Tarlton: Perpetrators gained entry by climbing through the perimeter fence, stole the cable from the Eskom power box and fled the scene.

• Saturday, September 24 at 16:07 – Housebreaking and theft, Rory Street, Wentworth Park: Perpetrators drove their vehicle into the premises, entered the house through an open front door, stole two televisions and fled the scene.
