It’s not load-shedding
Residents can expect planned power outages in Mindalore, Munsieville and Silverfields.
Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) is informing residents of a planned power outage, which is essential for maintenance work which will include decommissioning and refurbishment of mini substations.
MCLM communications officer Refilwe Mahlangu says areas affected include Munsieville, Silverfields and Mindalore.
Munsieville will experience the planned power outage on November 13 and 14 from 08:00 to 16:00, at the substations located on the corner of Bafokeng and Madika, Matla and Dalinyebo streets.
The Silverfields and Mindalore planned power outages will be on November 15 from 08:00 to 16:00, at the substations on the corner of Carol Road and Chelsea Avenue in Silverfields and the corner of Morton Street and Tindal Road in Mindalore.
“To avoid damage from electrical surges, residents are advised to treat electrical wiring as live and switch off all appliances during the outage,” Mahlangu concluded.
