Be prepared: Rand Water announces 86-hour maintenance
The municipality warns residents about water disruptions that will take place due to maintenance.
Mogale City Local Municipality’s (MCLM) Water Services wishes to inform residents of Rand Water’s planned maintenance at its Eikenhof Pump Station from December 13 to 16.
MCLM communications officer Refilwe Mahlangu said the 86-hour maintenance work will affect the water supply to a large part of Mogale City.
“We, therefore, encourage all residents to store sufficient water to meet their household needs during the maintenance period while also using water sparingly building up to the maintenance period to avoid a total city-wide interruption of water supply,” she informed residents.
“To minimise impact, Water Services in co-ordination with relevant ward councillors will monitor the situation and deploy tankers to areas that are most affected by the interruption,” she concluded.
