N14 salary dispute protest ends

EPWP workers who protested recently got paid due to miscommunication of payment.

A protest held along the N14 recently involving Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) workers has ended.

On Friday, February 7, EPWP workers took to the streets due to a salary dispute but councillor Shenan Cochrane confirmed on Monday, February 10 it was resolved.

“Workers protested due to a salary dispute but they have since been paid. This was due to miscommunication with the workers but it is all resolved now,” she continued.
