Apply for free basic services in Tarlton: What you need to know

Residents of Tarlton can apply for free basic services. Find out what documents you need to bring and where to register.

Mogale City Local Municipality’s (MCLM) indigent management is conducting a ward-based registration from 08:00 to 14:00 on August 16.

MCLM communications officer Refilwe Mahlangu said this registration is for Ward 30 in Matselapata, Tarlton, to provide the community with free basic services.

This will be at Tlhlabologang Day Care Centre in Matselapata, Tarlton.

She added that residents will need the following registration documents:

• Proof of income, the latest three months’ bank statements, or if you’re unemployed, an affidavit to that effect
• SASSA confirmation letter (if you’re a recipient of social grants)
• Your certified copies of identity documents and those of your spouse and your dependents
• Latest municipal account and pre-paid electricity meter number
• Proof of your marital status (marriage certificate, divorce decree, proof of customary union, or a death certificate)
• Letter of authority or executorship (If the property and municipal account are not in your name)

She concluded that additional documents may be requested when registering.
