Road resurfacing to cause traffic disruptions in Krugersdorp North
Residents and road users are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time during the four-day project.
Motorists and businesses in Krugersdorp North are advised to prepare for traffic disruptions as the municipal roads department undertakes a road resurfacing project from Friday, July 24, to Monday, July 27.
According to Ward councillor Aletta van Loggerenberg, the resurfacing will include Viljoen Street and several surrounding roads as part of ongoing efforts to improve the area’s road infrastructure.

Van Loggerenberg said motorists should expect delays while work is under way, with traffic flow and nearby businesses likely to be affected throughout the four-day project.
To minimise congestion and ensure the safe movement of vehicles, pointsmen will be stationed in the affected areas to direct traffic, particularly where existing road markings have been covered during the resurfacing process.
She added that road markings will be repainted the following week once the resurfacing has been completed.
Residents and motorists are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly, allow extra travel time, and exercise caution when travelling through the construction zone.
