Pipe burst affects CBD and surrounding areas

Water supply has been interrupted in several areas following early-morning bursts.

Numerous areas in and around the Krugersdorp CBD are without water today, July 29, following multiple pipe bursts.

According to Ward Councillor Mark Trump, pipes burst in the early hours of the morning in Monument and Rissik streets.

“This has affected parts of the Krugersdorp CBD, Krugersdorp North and Monument,” he said.

He urged motorists to drive with caution in the affected streets, as the burst pipes have created obstructions.

Trump added that repair work is currently underway, but there is no estimated time for when the water supply will be restored.
