Magaliesburg residents can learn more about free basic services

The municipality will host an indigent registration awareness campaign on August 28 to help qualifying households access free basic services.

Mogale City Local Municipality’s (MCLM) indigent management will host a campaign to raise awareness about the registration process for free basic services.

The campaign will be held for Ward 31 at Magaliesburg’s Ubuntu Arts and Craft Centre on Friday, August 28, from 09:00 to 12:00.

According to the MCLM assistant manager for Media and PR, Refilwe Mahlangu, the event aims to inform residents about the benefits available to qualifying indigent households.

Mahlangu said applicants must provide the following mandatory documents:

• certified copies of their IDs
• proof of income and their latest three months’ bank statements
• current municipal statements

She added that the following supporting documents are required for applicants who are not the owners of the property:

• a letter of authority or executorship
