Horror crash at Pinehaven intersection

Motorists are urged to avoid the N14 and R28 following a serious crash involving at least two trucks and multiple vehicles early Friday morning, October 7.

Various reports indicate there are multiple victims.

Numerous emergency services, police and public safety are currently on scene. They pleaded with the community to stay clear of the area until the scene is safe.

A social media post from BCI Security reads “This morning at approximately 06:20 the community and residents of Pinehaven were woken to the sound of what seemed like an explosion. A truck coming down the hill from R28 Mount Umsambara, collided with another truck causing a multiple vehicle accident ending at the Pinehaven intersection. Multiple victims and a truck on fire. BCI security officers together with other emergency companies are currently on scene extinguishing the fire and seeing to the injured”.
