Man’s body found next to R28 near mine dump

Police confirmed that the body of a man was discovered next to the R28 on Wednesday morning.

A body was discovered next to the R28 between Randfontein and Krugersdorp on Wednesday morning, October 12.

It is still unclear what led to the death of the person and how the body made its way to the area. However, Kagiso Police spokesperson Captain Solomon Sibiya confirmed that the body was that of a man and provincial police will reveal more details at a later stage.

A police helicopter was dispatched to remove the body from the scene.

Dowry HRT and AfriForum’s GRT teams, National Crime Assist, Kagiso Police, SAPS Air Wing and West Rand K9 Unit were on scene at the time of print.
