K’dp East home targeted: seven solar panels, TV and hifi stolen

'The perpetrators also broke two windows to gain entry into the house' – Mapogo.

Perpetrators gained entry onto the premises by climbing over the neighbours fence and gained access onto the roof where they stole seven solar panels at a house in Krugersdorp East in one of seven serious incidents reported to Mapogo A Mathamaga Security in Mogale City for the period Monday, October 17 to Sunday, October 23.

The security company’s operations manager Ben Willemse explained the incident took place at 04:36 on Saturday, October 22.

“The perpetrators also broke two windows and stole a television and hifi from the house and fled the scene,” said Willemse.

Details about other incidents:

1. Tuesday, October 18 at 01:39 – Housebreaking and theft on Vlakplaas Plots, Tarlton
Perpetrators damaged the fence to gain entry onto the premises and proceeded to the house where they broke a window and stole a television set and fled the scene.

2. Saturday, October 22 at 07:20 – Theft in Buiten Street, Krugersdorp North
Perpetrators climbed onto the front wall during the evening and stole two CCTV cameras from the wall and fled the scene.

3. Sunday, October 23 at 04:45 – Attempted business break-in in Market Street, Krugersdorp Central
Perpetrators bent the shop safety gate open in an attempt to gain access when the alarm activated they fled the scene.

4. Sunday, October 23 at 09:18 – Theft in Burger Street, Wentworthpark
Perpetrators lifted the main gate from its rail and proceeded to the patio where they stole the Webber braai and fled the scene.

5. Sunday, October 23 October at 10:02 – Attempted theft and arrest in Buiten Street, Krugersdorp North
A perpetrator climbed over the perimeter fence to gain entry and was in the process to steal a gutter when the armed response unit arrived. The perpetrator attempted to flee the scene and was arrested.

6. Sunday, October 23 October at 13:20 – Shoplifting in Kruger Street, Krugersdorp Central
A perpetrator walked into the store and stole a bar of soap when the owner discovered this. Owner of the shop did not want to lay charges against the shoplifter.
