According to a statement from Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM), the mayor said; “MCLM serves the broader community of Mogale City, and as the executive mayor I saw it necessary to bring along the mayoral office staff to visit the mothers and cheer them on giving birth on Christmas and New Year’s Day”.

He added that the municipality is aware of the fact that some of these mothers may struggle and it is their duty as public representatives to show them love and support at that time.
