Cops and stakeholders assist to help solve school crime problems

Kagiso Police visited two schools in Swaneville to conducting a search and address any challenge they may face.

The police recently paid Nomzamo Winfred Madikizela Mandela Secondary School in Swaneville a visit to do some searches and address challenges they may face.

According to Kagiso Police spokesperson Captain Solomon Sibiya, the school had been earmarked as one of the schools experiencing high levels of juvenile delinquency, gangsterism, and unruly behaviour by learners.

The team who visited the school was made up of the Social Crime Unit and communication department from police stations across the West Rand as well as the Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS). They also collaborated with the Department of Community Safety, the local CPF, the Department of Education, and the Basadi Ba Mogale.

The team also visited the Khululekani Primary School – also in Swaneville.
