A charitable heart and now Mrs West Rand

It was her first pageant in 19 years but Roxanne Clements stunned those in pageant circles by recently walking away with the title of Mrs West Rand.

Roxanne Clements described the moment she was crowned Mrs West Rand 2023 as mind-blowing. It took her days to grasp what has transpired.

This title is perfect for the 33-year-old Roxanne who has lived her entire life on the West Rand and is part of the community and the soil it is built on. She is a mother and a loving wife to a very supportive husband. Roxanne also walked away with the Public Choice, Debutant, and Photogenic titles.

She described her pageant journey as life-changing and said she has grown so much as a person.

“I overcame my fear of public speaking and this pageant gave me the platform to do more for our community.”

When Roxanne was a child, she also took part in a few pageants but this was her first one in 19 years. Adding that this pageant gave her a bigger platform and being able to make a difference in her community was a dream come true. Her focus is now to fulfill her Mrs West Rand duties and make a difference wherever she can. She will use this title to create awareness of poverty in and around the community.

“My advice to other pageant contestants is that everyone is good enough to achieve anything that they work hard for. Just always remember to be yourself and to stay true to who you are and what you believe in.”

Charity work is a passion for Roxanne and she wants to enter charity-driven pageants in the future.

When it comes to charity Roxanne is a busy bee. She is also a member of the Lions Club Krugersdorp where she is part of several projects in the Krugersdorp community.

“I am hoping to encourage more people with serving hearts to join the Lions Club Krugersdorp and help us to make a difference in the lives of the underprivileged.”

“They do amazing work for the community and I hope to support them even more in the future.”
