Break-ins galore across Mogale City
Mapogo A Mathamaga's latest crime statistics revealed five serious crime incidents, most involving break-ins.

The end of August saw numerous crimes being reported.
This is according to Mapogo A Mathamaga’s latest crime statistics for the period August 21 to August 27. The incidents that took place saw multiple items being stolen and one alleged robber being arrested.
The first incident involved a break-in and theft in Trezona Avenue, Mindalore at 03:00 on August 21 where three alleged robbers entered the premises by breaking through the palisade perimeter fence. The suspects then went on to open the workshop door and stole numerous items. The robbers were noticed on CCTV cameras by the Mapogo control room and armed reaction units were dispatched. One robber was arrested and the stolen goods were recovered.

A day later at about 08:10 on August 22, Mapogo responded to an attempted break-in on Mill Road, Boltonia. The alleged robbers gained entry by jumping over the fence, however, an outside alarm beam was activated and the perpetrators fled the scene. The third incident saw a trespassing and theft incident in Nellie Street, Krugersdorp West at about 11:29 the same day where perpetrators gained entry by jumping over the perimeter fence and went on to steal two water taps and copper pipes. The owner of the house shouted at the perpetrators after noticing them and they eventually fled.
Another break-in was then reported in Mill Road at about 07:30 on August 23 where the perpetrators gained entry by jumping over the perimeter fence. They then broke a window leading into the business and proceeded to steal 20 metres of copper cable.
On August 27 at about 05:04, Mapogo responded to yet another trespassing and theft incident at a premises in an unknown area of Krugersdorp. The perpetrators gained entry by jumping over the palisade fence forcing open a burglar bar and went on to steal a pedestal drill machine before fleeing the scene.
