Early festive cheer with elders and family

Golden Harvest Retirement Village in Magaliesburg held a memorable day for its residents and families.

Many visitors made their way to the Golden Harvest Retirement Village in Magaliesburg recently for what would be a memorable day of fun and building memories.

The Golden Harvest Retirement Village is a lifestyle estate close to Magaliesburg. Residents living there range between the ages of 57 and 100.

To get into the festive spirit, the women of the retirement village arranged a family fun day on October 28. There was of course plenty to do and plenty to catch up on among the elderly and their families and everyone took part in golfing, various distance walks, and visiting food and craft stalls while the young ones were kept busy with jumping castles or face-painting. In addition, home-baked cakes, biscuits, and various other items were on sale.

Other activities that took place included a police dog show, horse displays, and a demonstration by emergency services. Even prizes were handed over to those over-achievers.
