Q-ed Campus helps those in need

Q-ed Campus needs the public's assistance to continue providing free education and help get children off the streets.

The Christian Campus Church is doing its bit to give disadvantaged children the opportunity to get an education.

The Q-ed Campus is located on the premises of the Christian Campus Church and was opened in 2023. The goal is to take children in disadvantaged communities off the street and give them a quality private education, where each child’s education is financed by an individual sponsor, with the adopt a learner programme. The campus is a fully accredited private institution, that also provides three meals a day for the children, where it costs a sponsor R1 500 to R2 000 per child, per month.

“We as a church saw the state of the country and realised that the solution was in education, due to the high percentage of illiteracy and wanted to address the matter, and set an example for other institutions across the country, ” said Dr Ben Hooman, senior pastor at the church.

The children at the school are between the ages of two and Grade R, where they get tailored education from the teachers and get individual attention. There are currently 10 learners at the school, where they are chosen by an interview with their guardian, due to the absence of their parents, and can not afford private education.

Dr Ben said that their biggest problem is financing and getting sponsors for the children. If you are interested in making a change in a child’s future, contact Dr Ben at 082 468 0389.
