Jason’s grandfather, Jorrie Jordaan, said on March 30, his teeth were clamped together after his jaw surgery.

“When I saw him, he was OK, just sore and very frustrated because they must still do his teeth, and we are not sure how long his teeth will be clamped.

He could talk but through his teeth and could only have liquid food, which he managed to get in,” Jorrie explained.

He added, the physio did help him to walk a little with a walker, but he is still very weak and gets tired quickly.

On Tuesday, March 31, he revealed some good news: Jason’s mouth had been opened and he could speak again.

“We thank the community for all your support and prayers.

We are all battling to cope. Thank you all and God bless you all,” he concluded.
