Girl Guides welcome their latest recruits
Krugersdorp Girl Guides recently inducted 19 girls to the club as they will soon embark on journeys and tasks to improve the community.
The Krugersdorp Girl Guides are taking small strides, yet it will make a big difference in the community.

According to the club’s secretary, Diane Ring, the club teaches the girls a variety of life skills and activities to improve the community.
As the girls master different skills, they are awarded badges to mark their progress. Hiking, camping and canoeing are some of the adventures they participate in. The girls meet once a week on a Friday afternoon at St Ursula’s Convent School in Krugersdorp North. They primarily cater for girls from the age of 10 to 15.
Girl Guides, which, apart from being a lot of fun, teaches girls:
• life skills
• self-discipline
• service to others
• personal fitness
• outdoor know-how
• creative crafts
• conservation of living things
