During the Easter long weekend, Honey Field Charity reached out to mainly disadvantaged people to ensure they would enjoy a plate of warm food and be treated with Easter eggs.

Many of the needy line up for the spoils this Easter.

According to the founder of the organisation, Ann Bezuidenhout, they have been doing community outreach work since 2011, and they have volunteers who give out food every Sunday to the needy and destitute.

We reach out to various parts of town, such as the homeless in Tower of Life, the infamous tennis court settlement in Krugersdorp West and the Harlequins tent camp,” Ann said.

In addition to providing food, they also donate blankets during the winter months.

The organisation has volunteers working and giving their time for a good cause, however, they appeal to the community to assist them so that they can have extra hands in making a difference. If you are interested in assisting, you can contact Ann on 082 378 1395.
