Missing teen found safe

Mieke Oosthuizen, who was reported missing on May 11, has been found safe.

Criminologist and national coordinator at MCSA, Bianca van Aswegen, shared the good news.

“People should please help by raising awareness of a missing child by sharing the official flyer and confirmed information.

Please refrain from sharing any unconfirmed reports and speculation on social media,” she said.

She added that residents should not wait 24 hours to report a missing person and that it is a myth.

“The case needs to be reported immediately to your nearest police station or contact MCSA on 072 645 7464. Please note this is an emergency contact number.”
