Councillor Shenan Cochrane said the incident happened on Tuesday, May 20.
She said the fire brigade was on the scene very quickly and extinguished the fire. She added that they confirmed no one was injured.

She also commended the Video community who jumped into action to help the fire brigade and to keep the fire contained and prevent it from spreading.
“We are asking for donations of clothing, bedding and household items for the family to help them get back on their feet.
Please consider assisting – donations can be dropped off at Harvest Feeds at the Puma garage on Drift Boulevard,” she asked the community.
“The community used all their precious water supply, stored for the water outage. Thankfully, the fire brigade, hearing this, agreed to refill their buckets once the scene was secured,” she concluded.
The Krugersdorp News reached out to West Rand Emergency Medical Services’ regional commander, Gerhard Nieuwoudt, for official comment which will be published once received.
