Winter drive brings warmth to Swaneville and Rietvallei

The communities of Swaneville and Rietvallei were gifted with blankets and parcels in a joint effort by Ashraful Aid International and Azaadville Muslim School.

In a heartwarming display of compassion and collaboration, Ashraful Aid International joined hands with Azaadville Muslim School to roll out a successful winter warm drive in the communities of Swaneville and Rietvallei.

The outreach brought tangible relief to 200 senior citizens, who received food hampers and essential winter wear to help them through the harsh winter months.

According to the manager of the initiative, Ahmad Namutamba, the outreach was not only about aid distribution but also about inspiring and nurturing the next generation of community leaders.

The relief served 200 senior citizens as an act of kindness.

“The Representative Council of Learners at Azaadville Muslim School played a pivotal role in organising and executing the drive. Their commitment to serving others and taking initiative stood out as a strong example of youth leadership in action. With the support of their teachers and Ashraful Aid’s experienced team, these young learners demonstrated that social responsibility begins at the school level and that students can be agents of meaningful change,” Ahmad said.

Ahmad also emphasised that this collaboration between Ashraful Aid and Azaadville Muslim School has set a powerful precedent for future partnerships that are pivotal for ushering youth into adulthood.

“It not only addressed immediate needs but also fostered a spirit of unity, empathy, and responsibility, proving that the seeds of leadership and community care are best planted in the hearts of our youth.”
