Christmas party brings joy to children with disabilities

Save a Child celebrated an early festive season with a fun-filled Christmas party, bringing joy to children with disabilities after a challenging year.

In a special effort to give back, Save a Child NPO hosted a Christmas party at Mist Hills Country Hotel in Muldersdrift after a year of making a difference in the community.

According to Boet Jonker, chairperson of Save a Child, over 50 people attended the party, enjoying a variety of activities and performances. The event was primarily for the organisation’s target community: Children with disabilities.

“We also had performances where people could dance while dressed as their favourite classic singers, such as Tina Turner and Britney Spears,” Boet explained.

In addition to the dances, a raffle was held, and winners received gifts and treats. Boet added that the event was a meaningful gesture for both the community and the organisation, which had faced several challenges during the year, including two break-ins in June.
