Curamus learners shadow as waiters
Curamus School for Autism recently hosted a fundraiser where learners shadowed as waiters.
Learners from Curamus School for Autism once again joined the team from Silver Arrow Spur for a night of hard work and fun.
The Curamus School for Autism is a school that caters for learners on the spectrum with high-quality education and will be hosting a fundraiser later this month.

According to their official website, they want to equip learners on the Autism spectrum with knowledge and skills to become productive, integrated members of society.
The organiser of the fundraiser, Ansa Kotze, said the school tries to do this fundraising event at least once per term, where this happened on the evening of February 25.

“This is not just an opportunity to raise needed funds, but it is also a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness and acceptance for people with autism. It is an opportunity to focus on our learners’ abilities and not just the diagnosis,” she explained.
“It takes a village to raise a child. Once again, we had the support of the Spur team, the staff of Curamus school, parents and the rest of the community,” she added.
Ansa concluded this evening was a huge success and thanks to the support and donations, the school raised close to R4 000.
