Excellence achieved by Thuto Pele Teachers

Kagiso’s top-performing school celebrates educators behind record-breaking matric results.

Thuto Pele Secondary School recently celebrated major academic milestones after excelling in its latest matric results.

While the spotlight often shines on the learners, this time, teachers were also recognised for their role in elevating the Class of 2025.

According to school principal Moses Sinyosi, more than 150 learners wrote their final matric examinations. The class achieved an impressive 199 distinctions and a 75% bachelor’s pass rate. However, special recognition was given to teachers in subjects such as Mathematics, Physical Sciences, English and Second Languages for their outstanding performance and dedication.

The prize-giving ceremony also served as a moment of reflection for staff.

“We have achieved milestones, but we can always add more. We are the best-performing school in Kagiso and the only one to achieve a 100% pass rate for five consecutive years,” said Sinyosi.

The school’s next goal is to see its teachers receive recognition at the district level for their consistent excellence.
