Mini hockey and cricket take centre stage at Millies

A day of action at Millies helped nurture the next generation of hockey and cricket players.

Laerskool Millennium Primary School hosted its annual mini hockey and cricket festival at the end of August welcoming neighbouring schools for a day of sport, skill development and school spirit.

The festival brought together boys and girls from Laerskool Hekpoort, Laerskool Krugersdorp-Noord, Laerskool Muldersdrif, Laerskool Protearif and Laerskool Rapportryer.

Organisers Senadia Masuga and Mindie Koekemoer said the festival aimed to develop young players’ skills, foster a love for sport and give learners an opportunity to enjoy the day with fellow schools.
