Don’t be fooled by cheap talk from the pulpit, promises that are not realistic or biblical.
As a pastor I am often disturbed to hear what some preachers preach and the show they put on. “Send 50 dollars and your miracle is on the way.”
Listen to this rubbish. If you become a Christian everything in your life will go better. Health, wealth and happiness is the carrot these men promise.
What did Jesus promise?
He promised a narrow road, plenty trials and tribulations, betrayals and rejection. In fact Jesus once said that the world hated him and they will hate us.
Eleven of the twelve disciples died violently. Jesus himself was a victim of injustice and capital punishment.
As we start 2014, I remind you of Ephesians 6, especially verse 11, “Put on the full armour of God …”
Don’t be fooled by false promises. Prepare for battle quoting this simple promise.
Hebrews 13:5, “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you”. Never!
