I spent some time at the food court at Key West Shopping Centre browsing on my phone.
Realising that I was running late, I grabbed my bag and made for Pick n Pay. What a shock I got when I realised my wallet wasn’t in my bag. All the blood flowed from my head, leaving me shaking and ashen white.
I made my way back to the table at the food court … no wallet (what did I expect?). A woman at the adjacent table said the wallet was handed to security.
When I turned around to face the concierge counter I spotted my wallet. In an instant I turned from ashen white to elated and relieved .
Nothing was missing from my wallet, not even any of the money.
I want to thank Fidelity Security guard Simon Moloi who works at the food court for handing in the wallet and Joel Chauke, Guest Relations Officer from Mustard Seed Relationship Marketing.
What makes this experience rare is the quality of these two individuals who prove yet again that there is a lot more good in this world than bad.
Also, thank you to Centre Management for employing staff who add a very special benefit to our shopping experience .
