Parks Department please respond!

Avril from Krugersdorp writes:

It seems that the only way to get anything done is to put it into the newspaper.

I have been phoning the Parks Department since August last year asking them to trim the trees in our road. It is so bad that you cannot walk on the pavement, as you have to keep ducking for the branches. The trees are in Sarel Oosthuizen Street in Monument. I have so far made five phone calls. Where is the service?

The other complaint is that I have reported that there is a tree in the Bill Taylor Park that is dead and needs to be removed before it falls on a house or the children playing in the park. One tree fell down a few years ago, but fortunately no one was hurt.

Hoping Parks Department will take some action …
