Your presence shows unity – keep it up!

Thabo Moeketsi from Krugersdorp writes:

I was part of the audience listening to councillor Jacques Hoon, MMC for Infrastructure, delivering a speech which included the Budget for 2017/ 2018 on behalf of the Executive Mayor, Michael Holenstein, in Kagiso.

Like all previous integrated development plan (IDP) speeches, it was full of good promises to the residents of Mogale City.

I also noticed all councillors were present from across the political party divide, which augurs well for unity in action in the interest of effective and sustainable service delivery in Mogale.

Intra-party squabbles slow down and retard progress, and render the expected IDP outcomes non-achievable. Councillor Annette Fourie should also please come up with tangible incentives to motivate households to sustain a culture of cleanliness, not only in our yards but also in streets and parks.

Councillor Tjaart Steenkamp, I see your public safety officials are visible not only in town but in Kagiso too. Keep it up and continue to work as a team.
