You should be ashamed Mr Mayor

Krugersdorp Tax Payer from Protea Ridge writes:

I agree with Anonymous from Rant-en-Dal that Krugersdorp is a filthy place. How our mayor can drive to his office in the mornings past all the rubbish in the streets and not be appalled by it, is beyond comprehension. He only needs to pick up his phone and order the city’s Health Department to clean up. He has the power to do so, but obviously not the willpower.

Parts of Munsieville resemble rubbish dumps. It is an extremely unhealthy state of affairs and if I was a resident I would load lorries full of rubbish and go and dump it on the mayor’s doorstep. It is time for someone to report this scandalous situation to the Green Scorpions so they can take action against the Municipality’s Health Department..

The “abortion” stickers all over Krugersdorp, on every traffic sign and lamppost, are a disgrace. The culprit should have been prosecuted long ago and part of his sentence should be that he must clean up every one of his signs or face jail time. Krugersdorp must be the Abortion Capital of Gauteng, judging by all the stickers. Prosecuting this person is the responsibility of the city’s Environment and Traffic Departments but clearly they have other ‘important’ work to do.

Every second lamppost in Krugersdorp has the electric wires exposed. In Munsieville, open electric wires from illegal connections are running criss-cross all over the roads and shacks. It is only a matter of time before some unfortunate child or person will be electrocuted. Krugersdorp’s mayor and his councillors are fully aware of this danger. They see and pass by it every day and do nothing about it. In law, this amounts to dolus eventualis – they know it will kill one day but shrug it off. I can only hope that if someone is to die because of this neglect, the prosecuting authority will not shy away from charging Krugersdorp’s mayor and his councillors with murder.

In conclusion, Krugersdorp is just another filthy, badly run town.
