Letter helps Sina secure sponsor

Thabile Mange from Kagiso writes:

Many women start Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres to curb unemployment or to earn a living. However, there are some who start these centres out of passion or calling. One of those females (who belong in the latter group) is Sina Nanto from Kagiso. But I digress.

Late last year I wrote a letter to the News titled Sina passionate about childhood development. The letter was about an ECD centre, Ma-nanto Crèche, with a difference. The nursery school is making waves within the ECD sector.

In the letter I indicated that Sina was looking for a sponsor to buy computers for her crèche. I’m happy to inform the readers that early this year she got a sponsor to buy the computers from a certain company. This was after the company had read the letter in the News.

Sina’s centre is fast gaining a reputation for producing excellent results.

The local crèche’s success and track record speak for itself. “Children who graduate from my centre are top performers at school,” she said.

This was corroborated by a parent whose child used to go to the centre.

Ma-nanto has become the ECD centre of choice in Kagiso. More and more children are joining the centre. Parents are taking their children out of expensive crèches in town to [enrol with] Ma-nanto. This year alone, the centre has enrolled more than 50 children. That’s massive.

The crèche is growing in leaps and bounds, as indicated above. As a result, Sina has vacated her house and uses it solely for ECD purposes.

She is even thinking of having branches in and around Mogale City, but she is not in a hurry. It’s a good idea: she must go for it. Fast.
