Monique goes for gold
Former Nories pupil leads Northwest U/21A team to victory.
Monique Roberts, captain of the Northwest under 21A netball team, led her team to victory in Durban last week, winning gold.
Monique, who matriculated from Hoƫrskool Noordheuwel in 2013, has been selected for the Gauteng team for six consecutive years since she was 13. She was also in the South African U/16, U/17 and U/19 teams after the South African tournaments in the respective years.

Last week, she and her team competed at the Spar National Tournament in Durban and won the gold. They were also crowned the top U/21 team in South Africa for the second year in a row.
She has been selected for the NWU team to compete in the Varsity Cup Netball Tournament later this year.

She attributes her netball passion and success to local coaches Marthia Smit, Adine Adriaanse, Karen le Roux and Yvette Moolman who coached her all through primary and high school.
