The various distances were 2,5k, 5km, 10km and a gruelling 21km run/ walk, which has been dubbed one of the toughest of its kind in Gauteng.

The event was organised by Curro’s Parent Advisory Committee with the purpose of raising funds to help the Proteadal Conservation Association in their attempts to preserve the environment and indigenous fauna, and flora throughout the West Rand. The area is known as one of the most environmentally sensitive in the country.
