Rage fighters going to SA’s

Six fighters from the Rage Kickboxing Club have been chosen to represent Gauteng at the South African Kickboxing Championships but they need your help.

Six fighters from the Rage Kickboxing Club were selected to represent Gauteng at the South African Kickboxing Championships in Ellisras from April 28 to 30.

However, for these six talented Gauteng fighters to compete at the South African Kickboxing Championships, they will need to raise funds. The costs will cover travelling, accommodation, entry fees, subsistence, and sundry.

The six fighters selected are seven-year-old Liam Marx, 13-year-old Linzy Henning, 13-year-old NJ Lourens, 14-year-old Alex Retief, 30-year-old PJ Brits, and 48-year-old Sensei Fred Lourens are the fighters selected.

On March 11, the fighters from the club also took part in the Great North 1 tournament that took place in Pretoria. More than 400 fighters took part in the tournament where Rage Kickboxing’s Lizey Henning (Linzy’s sister) competed in the white to green belt fights bagging one silver and two bronze medals while NJ, who competed in the blue to black belt, took silver and bronze.

Linzy competed in the blue to black belt and won one gold, one silver, and one bronze medal, and Alex Retief who also competed in the blue to black belt also won one gold and one silver medal.
