Krugersdorp High School (KHS) swimmers excelled during the first gala of the season held at Copperleaf in Midrand recently.
According to KHS marketing director Lauren Jooste-Coetsee, the school placed second overall achieving 13 first places in the process.
Thereafter, the school also had its interhouse athletics event with four of the school houses going head-to-head.
The results are as follows:
• First place – Diaz
• Second place – Lancaster
• Third place – Gama
• Fourth – Houtman
On February 1, KHS swimmers were unstoppable claiming first place out of eight schools at the annual gala hosted by Randpark High School. Lauren added the team won an astonishing 17 first places.
On top of that the school announced their new swimming captains for the first team – Rachel Belcher and Kyle Banks.
The Victrix and Victor Ludorum’s have also since been announced:
• Junior girls Victrix Ludorum: Khanya Khalala
• Junior boys Victor Ludorum: Ethan Naidoo
• Senior girls Victrix Ludorum: Zina Moolman
• Senior boys Victor Ludorum: Kyle Banks and Jay-Dee Carolus
