A healthy walk to remember

The West Rand Health District held a fun walk for residents to encourage and promote a healthy lifestyle.

A healthy lifestyle and nutrition goes a long way.

To promote and encourage a healthy lifestyle, the West Rand Health District held a fun walk as part of their health and wellness programme, the Asibe Healthy initiative, launched by the MEC for Health and Wellness, Nomatu Nkomo-Ralehoko.

Participants walked from the West Rand regional offices to Monument Park and back.

According to West Rand Health District’s chief director Thembokpuhle Karigani, over 50 people participated. The day also included engaging with additional activities where health officials from both the public and private sectors provided them with services on health.

The Asibe Healthy initiative was organised by the West Rand Health District.

The Asibe Healthy initiative aims to reach out to various communities on the West Rand.
