Curro hosts mini-me athletics event

It was all fun and excitement at Curro Krugersdorp Primary recently as many toddlers were introduced to the world of athletics.

Curro Krugersdorp Preschool hosted an exciting and rather adorable Mini Me athletics event for toddlers recently.

The event is held annually as a way to introduce young children to the world of athletics with friends and other children in a non-competitive way.

It was also open to the public and children aged from two to six years were welcome to join, including those that do not belong to any preschool.

According to Curro Krugersdorp marketer Amoryn Wright, the event showcased memorable highlights that left the participants and attendees entertained.

“One standout moment was the chance for children to meet our beloved rhino mascot, Tshukudu, adding an element of whimsy and excitement to the day,” said Amoryn.

Activities at the event included discus, shotput, javelin, sprints, high jump, and long jump. All the activities were done with the safety of children in mind as frisbee rings, pool noodles, gym mats, bean bags, and medicine balls were used.
