Walking 15km every day for a reason

Join resident Valerie Dorffling in raising awareness for Dementia by walking 15km a day this month.

Dementia is a disease that affects many families around the world and in Krugersdorp, it is no different.

According to Affinity Health, Dementia is a condition that affects memory, thinking and behaviour.

Resident Valerie Dorffling decided to do her part for the Run Against Dementia (RAD) movement and will be raising awareness by walking 15km every day this September.

Valerie wants the rest of the community to join her in her walks, and continue to grow the movement.

“I was challenged by a friend to do this and want to encourage the community to join, care and raise awareness for the disease. You cannot cure Dementia, but you can show you care,” Valerie said.

“I already have four people who joined me and started this movement in Krugersdorp, my community,” she added.

If any resident wants to take part in raising awareness for Dementia and do the challenge with Valerie, contact her on 072 410 5866.
